Finnair to Distribute NDC Content via Travelport
Travelport will provide Finnair’s New Distribution Capability content alongside traditional content as part of an expanded relationship between the two companies, Travelport announced Tuesday. The companies are “currently collaborating” on the delivery of Finnair’s NDC content and servicing capabilities through the Travelport Plus platform.
“This collaboration with Travelport will elevate our NDC program as we continue to scale and drive adoption among agencies and travel retailers,” Finnair VP of global sales and channel management Jenni Suomela said in a statement.
Finnair previously had set an ambitious target to no longer support EDIFACT-based distribution by the end of 2025, but BTN portfolio mate The Beat in June reported that the carrier has backtracked on that plan.
